Friday, May 30, 1-3:30 p.m. in Theatre A, Tupper Medical Building, Dalhousie University
Thanks to a partnership between the Atlantic Health Knowledge Partnership (AHKP) and the Nova Scotia Library, all citizens of Nova Scotia may now use the Cochrane Library. Access is available through the public library system.
Because this resource is as likely to be unfamiliar to public library staff as to their clients, a training session has been arranged in cooperation with the Canadian Cochrane Centre. It will be held on May 30th, 1:00-3:30 p.m. in Theatre A of the Tupper Medical Building at Dalhousie University.
Instruction will be specifically aimed at the novice user, especially the novice who may be expected to assist other users who are also unfamiliar with the product. More experienced users may gain valuable insight into effectively teaching the product, but the primary audience will be library staff new to the Cochrane Library.
Owing to technical restrictions, remote registrations are currently limited to public librarians only. We welcome colleagues attending the CHLA conference to join us in person, and encourage public librarians who can travel to Halifax on May 30th to attend in person as well.
