We are pleased to have arranged the Lord
Nelson Hotel as the conference venue. The Lord Nelson is situated in the heart of historic
downtown Halifax, across the street from the famous Public Gardens,
and just one block from the
Citadel, and a short walk to the waterfront.
For information, see the hotel website.

Important notice: To get the conference rate of $159 CDN you need to cite the conference Group code. After selecting dates from the Lord Nelson website, one has to click on the next page on "GROUPS" which will open up a new window where the "Group ID" (9565) and the "password" (37002264) is entered. Alternately, simply choose "Make a Group Reservation" from the Lord Nelson homepage, and enter the codes. If you
have already booked your hotel room at a higher rate, you should contact the Lord Nelson at the phone numbers below to ask for the conference rate. Please note that a number of rooms for the conference dates are currently being held for CHLA/ABSC 2008 attendees. These rooms will only be held until April 28th. So reserve your room before this date to avoid disappointment. The phone numbers for contacting the reservations department at the hotel directly are 1-800-565-2020 or (902)423-5130.
A note on wireless access in the Lord Nelson: "Wireless is available at no charge in all public areas of hotel
including meeting space. You require a code from the front desk daily.
Wireless in guestrooms is charged a daily rate. There is also a small
business centre on the 3rd floor guests can use at no charge."
Halifax is easily accessible by road, rail and air, with direct flights
