Hi Everyone,
Winnipeg sure is the place to be.

Hi all,
Haven't written for a while because I've been busy touring Western Canada. Now it's time to tell you all about my swell adventures in Saskatoon and Regina; next week, you'll hear about Winnipeg.

They're here! Three adorable little fuzzballs have joined the high-flying family atop the Sheraton Hamilton:

Maybe we'll see them getting flying lessons during the conference!

Hi all,
Today I am one tired tiger! Those University of Calgary librarians sure know how to show a guy a good time. I got to see all the sights, like the Calgary Tower -- the highest 360° observation deck in the world – and even got some hometown hugs from a cute little cub: Heather Ganshorn from the Health Sciences Library took me home to meet her son, Malcolm.
We've got a great slate of continuing education workshops on everything from workplace bullying to literature searching in systematic reviews. And we've kept our prices affordable.

Like to know a little more about the fine folks planning your favourite conference? We thought so! So here is the first profile of our planning committee members. We’re starting at the top, with Liz Bayley, conference chair.

Had fun hanging out with Melissa Helwig, Health Sciences Librarian, and her co-workers at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine Library in Thunder Bay, ON. It’s pretty chilly up there, but luckily I had my fur coat on (ba-da-bum).

Hamilton has a new, unofficial tourism ambassador: the lovely and talented Ryan Gosling!
Deadline for submissions: February 1, 2012
Please contribute a poster to the Cascade of Knowledge at CHLA 2012. Topics will not be restricted to a theme.
Evidence-based medicine expert Dr. Gordon Guyatt has been named to the Order of Canada, an honour which recognizes his contributions to medical teaching and research. Gordon, who is a professor in the department of clinical epidemiology & biostatistics at McMaster University, is our opening keynote speaker.
He'll kick off our exciting conference programming with a keynote address on Wednesday, June 13 at 9 a.m.
For more about Gordon and his accomplishments, see this story from The Hamilton Spectator.
Hi there,

Had a g-r-r-r-eat time at the annual general meeting of the Health Sciences Information Consortium of Toronto (HSICT).
I went up with Liz Bayley, director of the Health Sciences Library at McMaster University, and chair of the CHLA-ABSC 2012 conference, and Jennifer McKinnell, head of public service at HSL and president of our local CHLA chapter. (BTW, those two ladies know how to have fun. But they've sworn me to secrecy).
Rick Mercer likes Hamilton's waterfalls -- and so will you when you visit our fair city for a Cascade of Knowledge at CHLA-ABSC 2012, June 11-15.

Grrrrr-eetings!
TC Hammer here, welcoming you to the online home of the 2012 CHLA-ABSC conference, set for June 11-15 in beautiful Hamilton, ON.
