Andrea McLellan: reporting for duty

Fun facts:

As the head of library collections, Andrea sometimes faces tough negotiation battles with vendors and publishers. But conflict is no stranger to this New Brunswick native, who was once an armoured combat soldier with the Canadian Forces. Andrea explains that her father was a commanding officer in the Militia, which she joined after graduating from high school. As one of few female recruits, she enjoyed the challenge of tough physical training and liked learning how to operate armoured vehicles. “I was actually pretty good at it.”

Andrea is also a former classical musician who played clarinet in orchestras and other ensembles.
