The Canadian Cochrane Network and Centre (CCN/C) Affiliate Organization Representative

Terms of reference


Introduction


The following terms of reference have been developed to guide the recuitement and involvement of the Representative of the Affiliate Organization to the Canadian Cochrane Network and Centre.


Responsibilities:


The specific responsibilities of the Affiliate Representatives are:



  • To advise the Canadian Cochrane Network and Centre.

  • To facilitate linkages and identify opportunities for the members of the Affiliate Organization who wish to become involved in the Cochrane Collaboration.

  • To promote the appreciation, dissemination and application of systematic reviews amoung the members of their Affiliate Organization.

  • To serve as advocates of the Cochrane Collaboration and its activities.

  • To provide feedback from the members of their Affiliate Organization on Cochrane activities, materials and priorities.

Term



  • Three years.

Selection Process


The Representative will be recruited and nominated by the Affiliate Organization. The Centre will provide three months notice to an organization of the completion of the representative's term.


Meetings and Communication


Affiliate Representatives are expected to attend meetings and respond to communication appropriately.


Representatives are encouraged to participate in one of the Strategic Planning Teams.


Representatives are members of the Advisory Board and are encourages to attend the Annual General Meeting.


Expenses


The CCN/N appreciated that the Affiliate Organization assume any expenses of the Representative incurred in Cochrane related activates.
