Okay, it's done. I just hope it worked!
This afternoon, Sunday, May 6, I imported the information for all of the current members, and many former members of the association. You all should have received a personalized email telling you what was going on and giving you instructions on how to log in and change your password.
I'm a little worried, as some of the out of office replies and bounces I've received make it look like the default welcome email that comes with Drupal was sent out in error. If you got that one, which thanks you for creating an account on the site, I apologize.
So, just to summarize, it wasn't you, it was me...
We've decided to change things up here a bit and try to engage those who have an interest in what we do, but aren't necessarily members of the association. To that end, anyone can join the site. You'll still need to be approved, but that's just to protect you from being bombarded by offers from online poker sites, the best pharmacies on the net, and various Nigerian bankers...
Only folks who are members of the association will have access to member only content, but anyone who is registered on the site will be able to partake in the discussion via comments and forums (once we add them).
We're just exploring the capabilities of Drupal, but they are many. We have the capability to do collaborative publishing, have blogs, news feeds, and all sorts of other cool Web 2.0 stuff.

Drupal article
Tim,
As content management systems go, Drupal definitely provides a lot of flexibility but it's not easy software to learn, is it? We should write an article about our experiences with Drupal. As I mentioned to you in private e-mails, we are using Drupal for the Open Medicine blog, and I am finding there is a steep learning curve.
Thanks for your help with the podcasting factsheet.

Good to go from Halifax
Hi, Tim:
Sign on worked great for me. Excellent work!

New website
Tim, the email worked for me, thanks. And looking at your message explains why my membership info says I've been a member for 4 days and 3 hours!
Good idea to let non-members join the website for discussions etc.
I'm still lost on the new website though - I used the old site so regularly I knew exactly where to find what I wanted ... now I'm fumbling around in the dark. It took me way too long to figure out where the list of Board members was! Somehow "Contact Us" just didn't leap out at me. Ah well, I'll get used to it again. Keep up the good work!

Great work Tim!
Everything worked just fine!
I'm good to go!
I'm in. Everything is working great. Thanks, Tim!!!
Just testing the comments...
There was an issue with commenting and this theme I'm using for the site. Posting this as a test...
And they seem to work...
... as you can see...
Everything's a 'go' for me!
Hi, Tim,
My account transfer and password setup and everything are working!
Congrats!
