Milestones in our electronic presence!

April 2, 2004

We're very excited to announce two major milestones in our electronic presence as an association.

The inaugural issue of the Journal of the Canadian Health Libraries Association, volume 25 issue 1 is now available! You may access the Journal directly at http://pubs.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/jchla/jchla.html. You will be prompted for a username and password the first time you click on the full text of the article (the link in the title). You will not be prompted again for the username and password for as long as you remain in the table of contents of the journal page. Read on to find out how to get your member userid and password.

Be sure to register for a free email table of contents alert for the Journal -- it is found at the top of the Journal's homepage. A reminder to all institutional members: IP recognition access to the Journal is available. Submit your IP ranges to the Andrea Hodgson <past-editor@chla-absc.ca> if you desire this access. There is no additional cost for this access.

We're also happy to introduce our new members only section of the association's web site. To access it, click on the "Members" link at the top right of this page. The first time you attempt to connect, you will have to use the "Password Reset Form" to generate a password for yourself. Your login ID will be the email address that is on file with the Association which you're receiving this email. A password will be emailed to you, which you can copy and paste into the login form. Once you are logged in, you'll be able to use the "Change Password" function to assign yourself a memorable password.

Within the members section, you'll find a searchable member directory, and member only resources such as fact sheets. Expect this section to grow as we add more valuable resources for you. You''ll also find a link to the Journal, along with the member userid and password for accessing the content. And, you can also update your own information online.

If you have any problems with or suggestions for the members only section please don't hesitate to contact Tim Tripp at webmaster@chla-absc.ca.
