NNLH Progress and Planning Meeting [Français]With the successful completion of the Concept of Operations, the Task Force held a meeting at CISTI / ICIST in Ottawa on February 26th to plan the next steps towards implementing the National Network. The Concept of Operations laid out clearly the structure and functions of the Network and raised interest amongst key stakeholders. The Task Force is building on this interest to move the initiative ahead and to involve more stakeholder groups. Participants in the February 26th meeting included Task Force members and organizations that have endorsed the plan and provided support to date: CISTI / ICIST, the Canadian Medical Association, the Canadian Nurses Association and the Public Health Agency of Canada. Canada Health Infoway (CHI) became interested in the NNLH after a “Health Knowledge Resources” meeting convened by CHI in Toronto on January 24th. Attendees endorsed a library model for accessing health knowledge. As a result, CHI sent a representative to the February 26th meeting called by the Task Force to learn more about the National Network model and how CHI might support implementation.
