Terms of Reference

Mandate

The Task Force will:

• Survey current health library Standards in Canada and abroad
• Review
  and revise the existing CHLA/ABSC Standards for library and information
  services in consideration of available standards and best practice
• Recommend Standards for library and information services in Canadian healthcare facilities
• Regularly distribute progress reports to CHLA and to the Chapters to ensure ongoing feedback and consultation

Organization

The Task Force will consist of a chair and other members appointed by the
CHLA/ABSC Board.  The Task Force may second other Association members
to assist as needed.

The Task Force will provide progress reports for CHLA/ABSC Board Meetings and to the general membership at the Annual Meeting.

Term

The Task Force will present a report of progress at the Annual General
Meeting in May 2005.  The Task Force will present completed Standards
at the Annual General Meeting in May, 2006.
