Dear Members,
 
Do you know a colleague who goes above and beyond? A member of our professional community who is an example for the profession? A coworker who has made a lasting impact on health librarianship in Canada? The CHLA/ABSC Board of Directors invites you to submit a nomination for our annual awards to help honour them.
 
These awards allow us to showcase some of the best, and most dedicated in our community, and to highlight their valuable contributions to our profession, and our Membership.
 
We are seeking your nominations for:
 
 
  • The David S. Crawford Honourary Life Membership Award, which recognizes a distinguished member who has played an active role in the affairs of the Association
  • The Margaret Ridley Charlton Award of Outstanding Achievement,  which recognizes a distinguished librarian who has made a significant contribution to the field of health sciences librarianship in Canada
  • CHLA/ABSC Canadian Hospital Librarian of the Year Award, which recognizes the contribution of an individual hospital librarian to the advancement of health care and health librarianship in Canada
  • CHLA/ABSC Special Recognition Award, which recognizes the dedication, contribution, and distinguished service of a member towards the CHLA/ABSC or an important health information initiative
  • CHLA/ABSC Emerging Leader Award, which recognizes the skills, enthusiasm and energy that new health science librarians contribute to the profession
  • CHLA/ABSC Flower Award for Innovation, which seeks to recognize librarians or teams who have created or demonstrated improvements in health sciences library services for their users or the profession through innovative thinking and approaches
  • JCHLA/JABSC Student Paper Prize, recognizing the library and information science or library technician student who submits the best unpublished paper on health sciences librarianship to the competition

Please send your nominations to President Elena Springall at president@chla-absc.ca by 5pm on Monday March 5, 2018.

Le conseil d’administration de l’ABSC / CHLA vous invite à soumettre sa candidature pour nos prix annuels, prix que nous lui décernerons pour souligner sa notable contribution.
 
Ces prix nous permettent de mettre en évidence ces personnes qui se démarquent par leur engagement exemplaire à notre collectivité, et de souligner leurs remarquables contributions à notre profession ainsi qu’à l’endroit de nos membres.
